SEA BORN AND BERTRAM JOIN THE GRANDER MARINE FAMILY
WELCOME BACK: SEA BORN AND BERTRAM JOIN THE GRANDER MARINE FAMILY
We're thrilled to announce that two exceptional brands are returning to our lineup at Grander Marine: Sea Born and Bertram. For those who've been with us over the years, you'll remember these names—and for good reason.
WHY NOW?
"Both brands have a successful history with Grander Marine," says owner Chris Bazor. When COVID disrupted supply chains and availability, we had to make difficult choices. Now, we're bringing back two brands we've always believed in—boats we've sold with confidence and minimal warranty issues, backed by customers who absolutely loved them.
SEA BORN: THE ULTIMATE HYBRID
If you're looking for a boat that truly does it all, Sea Born fills a unique gap in today's market. These are fisherman's boats at heart, but they're also family-friendly vessels that excel both offshore and in the bay.
What sets Sea Born apart? The craftsmanship. Walk through their facility and you'll see the extra steps they take—bilges that are sanded and painted, liners sprayed with foam insulation for a remarkably quiet ride, and rigging that rivals boats twice the price. "When you look at the rigging on a Sea Born, it exceeds or matches our most high-end boats," Chris notes. "Look at the competition in the same class, and it's a rat's nest in comparison."
The LX hybrid series offers something we simply don't have elsewhere in our lineup—a true 2/3 fishing, 1/3 cruising boat that handles everything from shallow water in Mobile Bay to offshore runs to the rigs. The FX inshore series delivers massive casting decks and stability that hardcore anglers demand.
Perhaps best of all? Sea Born hasn't raised prices in over three years. We believe they offer the most bang for your buck in their class.
BERTRAM: LEGENDARY HERITAGE, MODERN PERFORMANCE
There's probably not a boater alive who hasn't heard of Bertram. The name is synonymous with offshore fishing excellence, and we couldn't be prouder to offer these boats again.
Today's Bertrams combine that legendary heritage with cutting-edge design by Michael Peters. These aren't your grandfather's Bertrams—they're resin-infused, fuel-efficient, and built with modern technology while maintaining what made Bertram famous: deep-V hulls, wide cockpits, and serious fishing capability.
"The cabins are best in class by a long shot," Chris explains. That big-beam design creates interior space that has to be seen to be believed—whether you're looking at the 34 CC or moving up to larger models.
Speaking of larger models, we're especially excited about the upcoming 47-foot center console and our custom 61-foot Bertram "Grander Sunrise" being built specifically for billfish tournament fishing. There's also a future 54-foot outboard model with quad 600s that will offer three staterooms, a salon, and a massive fishable cockpit—something that simply doesn't exist in today's market.
WHICH ONE IS RIGHT FOR YOU?
Choose Sea Born if: You want a turnkey, low-maintenance boat that handles inshore and offshore fishing while keeping the family happy—all at an unbeatable price point.
Choose Bertram if: You're a serious angler who refuses to compromise on fishing capability but appreciates the luxury of space, comfort, and that timeless Bertram look.
